I did manage to get some quilting done. Well heck, if I can't sleep I might as well work. I finished the background around the roses. I started by trying to keep the lines very straight. Then I remembered.... with art, anything goes. So I relaxed and just let the machine decide how straight the lines were. I hope to get the quilting on the roses finished today so I can start working on a customer quilt. Hmm... maybe I'll go get some sleep first. There's a storm coming through and the streets are suddenly very quiet. Yippie for rain! If I'm lucky I can get a couple of hours sleep.
A gathering place for my thoughts about saving time, space, and money.
Welcome to my blog
Please don't remind me that I'm poor; I'm having too much fun pretending I'm simply "living green" like everyone else these days.

Derby... rrrrrrrr!
With 3 motorcycle clubs in a one block radius around my home, I don't get much sleep at night these days. In my area of Louisville, it's a 4 day, non-stop, very loud Derby party. We hear loud, loud, motorcycle street races all day and all night long. Geeze, don't they know that babies and old people sleep at night in neighborhoods? We have a much different view of the Derby celebrations in this neighborhood than those who live in other neighborhoods around the city.

oh my. and i thought I HAD problems today. i am hoping for a LONG RAINY DAY for YOU. rest. get something done? sending HUGS. and yes. 'straight" is NOT "artsy".. well ok. i CAN'T quilt straight anyway.. giggle..
I will also pray for rain for you.
I like the lines-- too straight and it looks like it was done by a machine. A little gentle waving makes it look more organic. I can't wait to see the finished product.
